Results from the NYC Half Marathon
So this was my first of two events that I have been training for and telling all of you about throughout the indoor season. Well finally, I got to race! I ran 1:14.43 (5:41 pace for non-mathematicians) for the 13.1 mile race. I finished 70th out of 11,493 finishers and 10th in my age group. To put in perspective how good the "good" people are, the men's winner ran 59:52 and the women's winner ran 1:09:25. Both times are blazing fast. It definitely was a good day and I thank all of you for keeping me motivated throughout the winter months and that is why I sported the Cheshire singlet. Next up is the Boston Marathon on April 19th! If you're bored and want to watch an exciting race, you can watch it here. You can see half of me at the end of the race when I am finishing.
