Looking Ahead

Here is the situation as we move into the Championship portion of our season. I entered athletes in the SCC Housatonic Meet on Friday. I only had one day because entries were due Saturday, I wanted to see how everyone did Thursday, and I was going to be gone all day Saturday at the meet.Basically, I looked at last years results and determined if you had a chance of scoring in the Housatonic Meet, than you were going to run in the meet. The thing is, if you run in the SCC Housatonic Meet, you cannot run in the SCC Novice Meet next week. With that said, many of you will wrap up your season's this Tuesday. Unfortunately, there have been some scheduling conflicts that have been out of our (Coaches) control. For those entered for Tuesday, I thought it would be nice to be in a championship type setting. Those running in the Novice Meet next week, you will practice through until then. If you run in the Novice Meet, that will also be your last meet of the season. Indoor track is tough in terms of meets. It's not like Outdoor track where you have a dual meet during the week and an invitational on the weekend. Everyone has been working hard and I invite everyone to continue to practice even if you are not racing, especially if you are competing in Outdoor track. Those racing Tuesday will have a premeet day tomorrow. Those not racing Tuesday will be doing a workout. We will talk more at practice tomorrow.
