The Week Ahead

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up for this week. It's going to be a little crazy since exams are taking place. As I mentioned in practice, we will have formal practice on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday will be on your own days. This should give you more than enough time to be ready for all of your exams. Remember, those are your top priority. We will be practicing at noon tomorrow and Wednesday (Friday is regular schedule) so try to have a snack sometime before practice and make sure you're staying hydrated.

I may have to make a game day decision in terms of the workout for tomorrow. There is the potential for heavy rain and gusting winds (not ideal running conditions). With that said, be prepared to go hard and be prepared for any type of weather conditions. I don't want to see anyone in short sleeve shirts and shorts when its pouring rain, now is not the time to take risks and risk the chance of getting sick.

Tuesday will be an on your own day so anywhere from 2-5 miles followed by 4x75m strides.

Wednesday will be another hard day but what we do will depend on what happens for tomorrow.

My apologies for being so vague, but running and workouts are never written in stone and you need to be flexible when things come up. Just be prepared for harder sessions Monday Wednesday and Friday. This is going to be our last really intense week of the season in terms of intensity and volume. We will be cutting back on volume come next week and just work on sharpness for the remainder of the season.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and that studying is going well. Goodluck to everyone on their exams tomorrow!
